This is an incredibly varied role which offers the opportunity to work for a well known multi channel retailer in a stock management role. Unusually, this opportunity spans two distinct areas. Firstly, you will be responsible for overseeing stock clearance for the business from a strategic rather than reactive perspective. Responsibilities will include identifying and resolving overstock issues, suggesting promotional methods and establishing pricing structures whilst reporting the impact on the bottom line.

The second half of this role focuses on potentialising the Internet business. You will be responsible for analysing web sales, reporting on trends, reviewing new product launches, dealing with performance issues and overseeing content. You would also coordinate internet projects.

This is an exceptionally varied and exciting opportunity which is a newly created position within this company, so you could really ‘make it your own’ whilst developing your current skills. My client is keen to see candidates who want to move away from traditional product merchandising, but who have a stock and analytical background.

Junior Buyer - Computers & Computer Accessories

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Buyer to join the IT department to buy computers, laptops, netbooks and all related products. Reporting directly to the Senior Buyer, you will be expected to identify, source and secure the correct products for the category in order to meet sales targets. You will conduct supplier meetings with high profile brands and be expected to negotiate the best prices, plan promotions, etc.

Applicants will ideally already be at Junior Buyer or Senior Assistant Buyer level in a high street retailer / supermarket with experience looking after computers, laptops or related products.
